Massing Design

Massim Design was recommended to us by a friend, and we’re really glad we went with them. Luis and Benn were incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. They took the time to understand our needs, gave thoughtful design recommendations, and made the whole renovation journey feel much smoother and less overwhelming. What we appreciated most was how they balanced aesthetics with practicality and helped bring our vision to life. Thank you to Natalie and team for the smooth and pleasant reno journey overall : ) We went with Natalie as she was the only ID out of all the IDs that demonstrated her understanding of the eclectic look we were going for, while still adhering to our budget; we also looked at Massing’s years of experience in the industry and their accreditations (e.g. Casetrust, BCA) as positive indicators. Natalie was responsive and calm / positive throughout the reno journey, which was much appreciated especially after seeing all those horror ghosting stories of MIA / passive-aggressive IDs on social media. She and her team were also receptive to our ideas, and put in great efforts to execute them (e.g. they successfully executed our request for a magnetic panel in the living room, with a settee that also houses our short-throw projector). Natalie and team went the extra mile in helping us to liaise with multiple vendors, even for those vendors that were self-sourced (e.g. getting different decorative lights for different shops, hanging up our paintings, assembling our ikea bedframe). She also helped us to settle a complaint from our downstairs neighbour regarding hairline cracks in her painting as a result of our hacking (it’s an old condo) and arranged for painting. She also helped us to save money on unnecessary spendings (e.g. the door vendor wanted to charge us additional few thousands of SGD for oversized doors as our doorways’ heights exceeded the 7-foot limit by a few mm; in the end, Nat and team just added a bit of plaster at the top of the doorway for free to lower the doorway height so we didn’t need to pay for the oversized charge). TLDR Natalie and team gave us peace of mind for the reno. We appreciate this especially since we are working adults with no time to oversee the ins and outs of reno. We chose Zane Iman for our renovation of our 5-room resale flat and it was the best decision we made! As first time home owners, we had many doubts and Zane addressed all of them patiently. He guided us through every major and minor decision and kept us updated weekly on the works progress. He helped make the entire renovation relatively low-stress and he was really responsive, professional, prompt, detailed and sharp with suggestions and solutions. We did quite an overhaul of the flat - we were really impressed with the quality of materials and workmanship of all the engaged sub-cons.
